Princetown to North Hessary Tor Sunday 5th December 2010

Today we decided to join the Plym Ramblers for their walk.  Rich and Kat joined us too. There are quite a few Ramblers so it did feel a bit strange being part of a large group, but they were all very friendly, and stopped on route for coffee.

The path was very icy to start with but as we got onto the track, it was fine.  The weather was perfect, not too cold and no wind.  ( not like last saturday!!!)  see Two Moors Walk esp the video of Bob.)

We could see Black Tor, Hart Tor, Leeden Tor, Inga Tor and Kings Tor from the track.  Further up the hill towards North Hessary Tor where the mast is, we could see as far as Plymouth Sound.

Setting off along the Dartmoor Way

It was icy under foot in places and ponds were frozen

The water was frozen solid but no one offered to see how thick it was.

Bob went to find what the photographers were trying to capture!!

Full after a large lunch at the Plume of Feathers
The route was about 5 miles, but it didn't seem very far to us hardened walkers.....
